As part of our claims service, we are happy to support you in the settlement of claims in the areas of trade credit insurance and fidelity insurance.
In contrast to other insurance classes, credit insurance in particular is associated with numerous obligations. As a rule, there are various deadlines to be observed and notifications to be made to the insurer.
Own claims department
We have our own claims department. Our experienced staff will be happy to help you even before a claim arises, for example with questions about contractual obligations, reporting requirements, etc.
If a bad debt should actually occur, we will be happy to advise and support you. Our aim is to ensure that you receive compensation from the insurer as fully and promptly as possible.
Preliminary examination of the claim documents
We will inform you in each individual case which documents are required for claims settlement. You are welcome to send us these documents.
If you wish, we will carry out a complete preliminary check of the claim documents for you. In doing so, we check whether the contractual obligations and all compensation requirements have been met. In addition, we will check for you whether it is worth paying out the indemnity for your house or whether it may be better for you in individual cases to forego payment of the indemnity, against the background of the loss ratio and a possible bonus or malus regulation in your contract. It often makes sense to waive a possible indemnity if, for example, a contractually agreed no-claims bonus would be greater than the possible indemnity or if a malus (or premium surcharge) would be triggered by a further indemnity.
We will then be happy to inform you of the result of our preliminary check. This means that, if you wish, you will receive an estimate of when and how much compensation is likely to be paid even before the claim is reported to the insurer.
Communication with the insurer
After our preliminary examination, we will make the claim notification to the insurer for you with the complete (and previously examined) claim documents. We also conduct the subsequent correspondence with the insurer on your behalf. In the process, we keep your open claims on file and ensure that your compensation is paid out as promptly as possible.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about your open claims, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If the conditions for compensation are not met – for example, due to a breach of obligations – we will check for you whether an application for goodwill compensation makes sense. As a rule, this depends on the type of breach of obligation involved and how damaging your contract has been to date. But we also examine and consider other factors in this context. We then contact the insurer in order to obtain goodwill compensation for you, if possible.
